Total Waste !!

Total waste of a day !! Didn't do one damn thing of any consequence !! Got up around 12:45 pm !! Whole day jus the net and tv... saw jingle all the way today... complete... had seen some of it before... and thats about it.. think i'll go rent some cd's tomm... thinking of getting that movie.. Master and Commander... also planning to wake up a bit early tomm.. like not going back to sleep after dropping me brother on his stop in da morning... well.. can try atleast...

i know i won't be dropping off anytime soon... last night sleep came to me only after 3 am ! But i kinda like this time to myself... i do all my reading at this time... search the net for whatever i feel like reading about... it's real fun.. i guess that would be very geeky for a lotta ppl but this is what i like to do before i go to sleep... solve whatever confusions i might have about things.. usually its history... i love the second world war... conflicts in perticular interest me very much... thats besides space exploration and paranormal and extra-terrestial stuff and all... those are all me hobbies ! Last night i looked up the reasons behind the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan... and i came across an interesting analysis by this person on some site... he compared the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan to the present American occupation of Iraq... and taking into consideration the advancement in technology over the years.. the terrain of the two countries and the type of people living in the different regions... he found out that the Soviets actually did a bit better than the Americans are doing now during occupation.. especially in terms of casualties !! He found this very interesting.. because generally in the west people always said that the Soviet military (during the Afghan occupation) was more like a paper tiger and could never have stood up to the western forces !!

Ah well... but this occupation business is going to trouble the American people for a looong time... They are going to haveta stay there till normality returns... and that could take a while... till then the casualties are only going to mount...
