The Imam who stole Eid !!

What is this bloody world coming too when you can't even have one decent festival without some self-emphasizing jack-ass ruining it for everyone ?!?! I'd like to ask this man...

WHATS THE BIG IDEA ?!?!?! What the hell made you decide at 1:30 in the morning that the next day would be Eid when all evening you could see no new moon ?!?! Or did you see some magical moon that no one else could ?!?!

Because of this man... Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir celebrated Eid on the 24th of Oct '06 where as actually it was supposed to be on the 25th of Oct '06 (as celebrated everywhere else). How excited was he that he just couldn't wait to declare Eid ?!?! According to me this year we didn't have any Eid ! Cause there was no credibility left ! It caused so much confusion ! People's schedules, plans and leaves, all got messed up. I mean everyone KNEW it was on 25th but no... you are sleeping in the middle of the night and BAM ! Its Eid !! Good luck trying to manage your life now ! Its this kind of rubbish behaviour that makes everyone think maulvs are nuts !

I personally had applied for leave from work for the 25th ! But then Eid was declared on 24th and there ! I had to go to work and then take a half day ! And I didn't like it ! I don't even celebrate Eid all that much but the sheer stupidity that took place really pissed me off ! So now people think they are that important that they can just hijack an important festival and celebrate it whenever they like ?!?! Tsk tsk... and then you ask why the world is at odd with Muslims ?!?! Cause people like you make us all look like fools ! Imagine, its supposed to be a govt. holiday on Eid... and the confusion that resulted this time around ! And what about those poor Muslim govt. employees ?!?! They know that the real Eid is on the 25th but they haveta go to work then cause the govt. listened to Mr. Bukhari and 24th was declared a holiday ! Dumb ass ! I don't get the different day Eid funda of Middle-east (Its one day earlier there than in India, even though the time difference is just two and half hours) but this just takes that dumbness to a whole new level... different days in the SAME country !?!?!?!

Mr. Bukhari.... please control you emotions... we are not going to blindly follow every dumb thing you say or do just because you are the 'Shahi Imam' !! You blew it this year... but next year can we please have our Eid in a decent and dignified manner ?!?! Without any controversy ?!?! Huh ? What say you ??
